PMI Project Management Ready is a one-semester certification program for educators pioneering project management courses or teaching career and technical education who want to equip students with foundational project management skills. With this certification, students are prepared for entry-level roles such as project coordinator, event planner, and project team member — and positioned on the pathway to advanced credentials from the Project Management Institute.Integrating PMI Project Management Ready learning resources and certification into instruction helps students gain a credential in project management and prepare for their next step in education or career. Candidates are expected to have key conceptual knowledge and principles of project management through at least 150 hours of instruction.

Validates foundational project management concepts with no prior work experience required. Gives students exposure to the field and tools they can apply across many career paths. Typical next PMI step: Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM).

Ready is the only PMI exam on Certiport. CAPM and other PMI credentials are issued by PMI, not Certiport. Lengths, objective domains, accommodations, retakes, and proctoring are defined by Certiport and PMI. A browser-based Test Drive is available from Certiport.
