Candidates are expected to have at least 150 hours of Unity software use and training.

Certiport offers four Unity exams: Programmer, VR Developer, and Artist at Certified User level, plus Associate Game Developer as the next step on the User-to-Associate path. NEXERA Institute delivers them through our authorized center.

Certified User · C#

Unity Certified User Programmer

Tests C# basics in Unity for interactivity in games, apps, AR/VR, and other experiences. Covers debugging, problem-solving, reading the API, writing and evaluating code, and navigating the Unity editor.

Candidates should have at least 150 hours of Unity use and training. Exams are suited to ages 14 and up, with no degree prerequisite beyond the published objective domains. Credentials are issued once from the pass date. Game Developer is an Associate-level exam; Programmer, VR Developer, and Artist are Certified User. Lengths, languages, Test Drive demos, accommodations, retakes, and proctoring are defined by Certiport and Unity.
